PT Team

Physical Training (PT) in JROTC is an essential part of the program that focuses on building cadets’ physical fitness, mental toughness, teamwork, and overall wellness. PT sessions typically include a variety of exercises such as running, push-ups, sit-ups, planks, and group workouts designed to improve endurance, strength, and coordination. These workouts help prepare cadets for the Cadet Challenge, a fitness test that measures physical performance through timed events. PT also encourages healthy competition and camaraderie, as cadets often train together, motivate one another, and track their progress. Beyond physical benefits, JROTC PT promotes discipline, goal-setting, and resilience—key values that support both military readiness and personal growth.

All Air Force PT Meet 2024

On March 1st, 2025, the Blackjack Wing, along with Canyon Springs AFJROT, C, hosted the All Air Force Drill & PFT Meet. Congratulations to our Color Guard B Team on winning 1st Place in Inspection and Combined Sweepstakes. The Armed Drill Team placed 2nd in Regulation! C/Major Ethan Pimentel competed in the Rifle Twirl Off and placed 2nd overall! Thank you to all the AF/SFJROTC schools that participated and competed! GO BLACKJACKS!!
