CG Team
The Color Guard Team in JROTC is a ceremonial unit composed of four cadets who carry and present the national, state, and organizational flags, along with rifle guards, during formal events and ceremonies. The team typically includes a U.S. flag bearer, a state or unit flag bearer, a right rifle guard, and a left rifle guard. Their main responsibility is to display and protect the colors with precision, respect, and professionalism at events such as school assemblies, parades, football games, community ceremonies, and military functions. Color Guard cadets perform coordinated drill movements with strict attention to timing, uniformity, and proper flag etiquette, all while maintaining discipline and military bearing. Being part of the Color Guard is a respected role within JROTC that fosters pride, responsibility, and a deep sense of honor, as the team represents their unit, school, and country.
